Instructions

To have your own home page, do the following:

1. Create a public_html directory in your home directory.
2. Make sure this directory can be read and searched by everyone: chmod 755 ~/public_html.
3. Create an HTML file called index.html in ~/public.html. See below for links to some HTML references.
4. The permissions on ~/public_html/index.html should be 644.
5. Test to see if your homepage works: open the URL "http://personal.utulsa.edu/~your_name/" from your favorite browser.
6. When you are ready to have your home page added to our master lists, send e-mail to webmaster@ohm.ee.utulsa.edu. You may need to wait several days until your request is processed.
